I love reading with children. The earlier you begin, the sooner they'll learn to love it too. These are terrific to read with your children, grandchildren or nanny kids; they'll also be wonderful gifts for families with new children.

Sandra Boynton books:
I could read Sandra Boynton books all day long. The going to bed book is one of my favorites. Her books have rhymes, counting, fun songs, and lovable characters.

A lovely book about being yourself and finding your own way.

A fun book for littles that love animals or love the surprise of finding out what's behind that flap.

Little Critter books by Mercer Mayer:
I read these books as a child and now read them with my nanny kids. Little critter learns lots of lessons while growing up.

Maurice Sendak books:
Wonderful books by Maurice Sendak like Little bear, Where the wild things are, One was Johnny, and Chicken soup with rice will keep you and your kids reading for hours.

Ian Falconer books:
Olivia, her brother Ian, Perry the dog and Edwin the cat will keep your children's imaginations running wild.

Tomie dePaola books:
I still remember reading many of these books as a child. Fantastic stories and artwork.

Pete the Cat by Eric Litwin:
A fun series of books with adventures and songs to sing along with.

Little blue truck by Alice Shertle:
Little blue loves to help others and because of that, he's made lots of lovely animal friends.

Lucy Cousins books:
Peck Peck Peck was written by the author of Maisy. Lovely books that kids enjoy.
