Hello! I have been a nanny since 2009 in long-term, short-term, and travel positions. I am originally from North Carolina and have nannied full-time in North Carolina, Oregon and Washington, DC. I incorporate my interests into my work and take time sharing and learning with my charges about our shared interests. I am an advocate of the Arts; I love live music, theatre, museums, dance, singing, pottery, and more. I enjoy taking cooking classes, traveling, seeing waterfalls and trying new things!
Why am I a nanny?
Although I graduated with a teaching degree, I fell in love with nannying. It is a unique experience to get to know a family so well; guiding what the children are learning based on their interests, having the flexibility to go on educational outings and play dates, and getting to see that moment when a child finally figures something out that they've been working on or curious about makes it all worth it. It is truly an amazing experience getting to be part of a childs life; showing them love and support when they need it and in return receiving that hug, smile, or even kind words; knowing you are helping to shape a more positive future for our world.
